Lac de Iles Expansion

$150 million, expansion of mine and Platinum Group Minerals processing facilities north of Thunder Bay, Ontario. Roughly 100 million tonnes of ore, containing 5 million ounces of palladium and significant quantities of platinum, gold, copper and nickel, mined and processed at the rate of 15,000 tonnes per day to produce 250,000 ounces of palladium annually, over an 18-year mine life. Equipment and facilities include 23-cubic meter hydraulic shovel, 18-cubic meter front end loader, 190-tonne haul trucks, 54-inch gyratory crusher, 48-inch belt conveyors,150,000-tonne (18,000-tonne live) coarse ore stockpile, 30-foot diameter SAG mill, two 20-foot diameter ball mills, pebble crusher, flotation circuit including rougher, scavenger and cleaner cells, regrind mills, cyclone banks, concentrate thickener, two Larox filters and a 162 hectare tailings management facility plus truck shop/office/warehouse/assay lab complex, 300-room operations camp, power transmission and water supply and treatment facilities.
